Bideford Half Marathon 2019

Talk about a swift half!

The course takes in magnificent countryside alongside the River Torridge between Bideford and Great Torrington. The course is half on roads and half on the Tarka Trail, you even get to run through a tunnel. The race is moderately flat with one small hill section.

*Member of a UKA or ARC affiliated running club (tri-clubs and running groups or communities are not eligible for affiliated entry)

Race packs including numbers are being sent out on Friday 23 February. Race transfers must be fully complete by Thursday 8 March 11pm please follow these instructions

A chip timed race – race numbers with built-in chips and information will be posted to runners before the race unless you enter after Friday 23 February, 12.00noon, you will then need to collect your number on the day
Race assembly 10.20am (please allow plenty of time to collect you race number if you are a late entry).

All finishers will receive a medal plus race memento

Prizes in all categories and best single fancy dress entry. Break the male / female course record extra £50 (male 01:06:09, female 01:17:15). Changing rooms, showers, bar and refreshments available.

ARC race permit no: 8/009, under ARC Rules of Competition
Affiliated entries must be members of a UKA or ARC affiliated running club only (tri-clubs and running groups are not eligible for affiliated entry)
Competitors must be aged 17 or over.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
Race places can be transferred between runners but can not be deferred or transferred to another of our races. No race transfers after Thursday 8 March, 11pm
No walkers, dogs or pushchairs permitted. Entrants ignoring this rule risk disqualification, this is due to the insurance reasons and the course being unsafe for walkers.
We regret that the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
For your safety and that of all runners strictly no music headphones and earphones (including bone conducting versions) during the race. If a marshal sees a runner wearing headphones or earphones the runner’s number will be noted and they will be removed from the results.
