Our 2017 Half Marathon will be in memory of Geoff Fanson, who was one of the founders of the running section of Bideford AAC
Talk about a swift half!
The course takes in magnificent countryside alongside the River Torridge between Bideford and Great Torrington. The course is half on roads and half on the Tarka Trail, you even get to run through a tunnel. The race is moderately flat with one small hill section.

If you wish to transfer a race place to another runner, the original runner must log into Full On Sport and follow these instuctions (sorry no refunds). If race packs and numbers have been posted and it is the original runners responsibility to get their race pack and number to the new runner.
A chip timed race – race numbers with built-in chips and information will be posted to runners
Race assembly 10.20am (please allow plenty of time to collect you race number if you are a late entry).
All finishers will receive a medal plus race memento. The medals will be unique to each race – run all three of our races and your medals will stack together! Our 2017 medals will be a different colour to those in 2016. The Half Marathon is the first race in the series.
Prizes in all categories and best single fancy dress entry. Break the male / female course record extra £50 (male 01:06:09, female 01:17:15). Changing rooms, showers, bar and refreshments available.

We regret that the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs. No dogs, pushchairs or walkers permitted.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Competitors must be aged 17 or over.
FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THAT OF ALL RUNNERS STRICTLY NO MUSIC HEADPHONES AND EARPHONES DURING THE RACE. Runners ignoring this rule risk disqualification.
