Run possibly the fastest 10 Miler in Devon and support North Devon Hospice! Runners of all abilities are welcome and will receive a 2026 bespoke medal and T-shirt. The race course starts and finishes very close to the Bideford Amateur Athletic Club Clubhouse and takes in magnificent views of the Taw and Torridge estuary. The course heads out on roads and returns on the Tarka Trail, you even get to run through a tunnel. The race is moderately flat, with only three small inclines.

    9am to 10am: number collection from Bideford AAC clubhouse (EX39 2PF) and on-day entries

Transfer instructions

  1. To transfer your entry you will need to log into your MyRaceNation account with the email address that you used to sign up to the event
  2. If you’ve never logged in before click Logging in for the first time , enter the email address you registered with, agree to the T&C and click Claim Account
  3. When you have successfully logged in, you will need to locate the entry you wish to transfer and click on the Transfer button.
  4. Select Transfer to another entrant
  5. You will then be asked to enter the email address of the person you wish to transfer to and select Start transfer. This will automatically send an email invite to the new entrant
  6. Once the person you’re transferring to receives the email, they must click the Start Your Transfer and complete their details. Please note if the event organiser has applied a transfer fee this will need to be paid for by the person accepting the transfer.
  7. When they have completed their registration they will automatically be entered in the event and the original entry will be cancelled.
  8. Please note no refunds are processed. Payment will need to be arranged between yourself and the new entrant taking over the entry.

Important Reminders:

  • Changes and transfer Deadline: All transfers must be completed by 11pm on Monday 12 October.
  • No Selling/Sharing Bibs: Giving your race bib to another person is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification. Following the transfer process ensures we have accurate medical and other information for each participant.
  1. No walkers. This is for the safety and wellbeing of participants and marshals as sections of the race are on open roads. Participants need to be able to complete the race in an average of 15 minutes per mile, or faster, and within the 2 hours 30 minutes cut-off time. Those ignoring this rule will be withdrawn from the event and marked as disqualified on the results. Bideford AAC thanks you for respecting this rule
  2. Please read the Race T&Cs and Cancellation policy
  3. Headphones and earphones (including bone conducting) can not be worn during the race. Please advise us if you run with a hearing aid
  4. Online entries close at 8pm on Friday 30 October 2026 or when the race reaches capacity, 900 runners
  5. T-shirt sizes will be allocated as per the original entry and can only be substituted after all finishers T-shirts have been handed out after the race. We aim to supply the size requested to all runners but they are not guaranteed
  6. Race assembly is close to the Bideford Amateur Athletic Club clubhouse at 10.20am. Race start 10.30am
  7. No dogs or wheeled devices permitted. Participants ignoring this rule will be disqualified and withdrawn from the event. Bideford AAC thanks you for respecting this rule
  8. Do not leave bags/property unattended, please place in the baggage store (please note that Bideford Amateur Athletic Club will not be responsible for lose or damage to personal belongings)
  9. Changing facilities and showers will be available in the clubhouse.
  10. Portable toilets will be outside and signposted. There are also public toilets on the quay and by Riverbank car park
  11. Refreshments will be available throughout the day at the clubhouse and the club bar will be open from midday
  12. Pay and display car parking is within walking distance of the clubhouse and race start including the Cattle Market car park (EX39 2QG) and Riverbank car park (EX39 2QS). Competitors are requested not to park in the nearby Morrisons
  • 2025 Bideford 10 Mile

    Massive congratulations to everyone who ran the Bideford 10 Mile you were all awesome

    The race was run won by Ronnie Richmond in 51:55, in 2nd Chris Hewitt from Tiverton Harriers in 0:52:56 and in 3rd Jack Dee from St Peters in 0:53:20

    First woman was Nikki Kelly from Tavistock AC, finishing in 60:35, in 2nd Amie Walker from Best Athletics in 61:25 and in 3rd Emma Kiernan from Taunton AC in 62.53

  • 2024 Bideford 10 Mile

    Massive congratulations to everyone who ran the Bideford 10 Mile you were all awesome

    The race was run won by Phil Norman in a new course record time of 49:57, beating his last record from 2022 by 1 second! In 2nd Ronnie Richmond from Bideford AAC in 0:50:59 and in 3rd Charlie Jones from Western Tempo in 0:51:19

    First woman was Katie Knowles from Truro Running Club, finishing under the hour in 59:19, in 2nd Alison McEwing from Erme Valley Harriers in 1:00:58 and in 3rd Nikki Kelly from Tavistock AC in 1:01:57

  • 2023 Bideford 10 Mile

    Massive congratulations to everyone who ran the Bideford 10 Miler 2024 yesterday you were all fabulous

    The winner was Phil Norman From Woodford Green AC in 0:50:29, in 2nd Ronnie Richmond from Bideford AAC in 0:52:06 and in 3rd Jacob Landers from Tamar Trotters 0:52:37

    The winning female was Rebecca Ezra-Ham from Tamar Trotters in 0:58:40, in 2nd Sammy Antell from Bideford AAC in 1:01:24 and in 3rd Nikki Kelly from Tavistock AC in 1:01:48

  • 2022 Bideford 10 Mile

    In 1st place Olympic Athlete Phil Norman from Woodford Green AC in a new course record of 0:49:58, in 2nd place Great British Athlete Ronnie Richmond from Bideford AAC in 0:50:30, in 3rd place from Bideford AAC Shaun Antell in 0:51:11. The 1st female was Rebecca Ezra from Tamar Trotters in 0:59:04, 2nd Nikki Kelly from Tavistock AC in 1:00:45 and in 3rd Alison McEwing from Erme Vallet Harriers in 1:00:48

  • 2021 Bideford 10 Mile

    The winner of the 2021 Bideford 10 Mile race in an incredible time of 0:50:22 (and possibly a course record) is Ronnie Richmond, finishing over 3 minutes ahead of second-place runner Luke Grainger from Royal Naval Running Club, who finished in 0:53:47. In third place was Exeter Harrier runner Calum Crawford in 0:54:14. The first lady was Paralympics Athlete Hannah Taunton of Taunton AC in 1:01:13, followed by Serane Stone from Tiverton Harriers in 1:04:48 and Linsey Ryall from Marshall Milton Keynes AC was the third lady in 1:06:40
