September update

Members’ Night – Thank you!

A big thank you to everyone who turned up and participated in our first members night. It was a great evening and lots of discussion and ideas were put forward. The report is back from Rich from EA and will start working with the committees, coaches and volunteers on some of the recommended actions. Gemma is putting together a group of volunteers outside of the committee to help bring some ideas to life, if anyone would like to help in any capacity, then please let me know. Any support you can give would greatly be appreciated. Also, if you have any ideas please feel free to contact me, or any member of the harrier’s or general club committee.

Westward League Cross Country

The harriers section are covering the cost of affiliation and entry in the Westward League again this year. If you would like to take part please let Gemma know by the end of September so she can register you. Please also let Gemma know if you are available for the first fixture at Newnham Park, Plymouth as this is a relay and we need to register teams of 3. If we can’t make up teams, you can still take part as an individual and score points in the series. You need to run 4 out of 6 races to score in the series but there is no obligation and you can run as many or as few races as you wish, you can even just come along and take part in the relay! Its a great opportunity to have a go at cross country if you’ve never done it before. Sharon will be collected names of juniors wanting to take part and will be taking the minibus so lifts will be available. We also have a new gazeebo to try out!
