For 2017 our Handicap Race Series will be held on Thursday not Wednesday

Race 6 start times
A great fun and social inter-club event – six races run over the same demanding course with runners setting off at staggered times; the slowest first and the fastest last with the aim that everyone finishes at about the same time. To complete the series you need to run four of the six races.
Junior prize presentation: approx. 8.10pm in the clubhouse after the senior race
Senior prize presentation: approx. 8.45pm in the bar over a drink or two!
Please note prizes are only available for collection in person at the presentation after the race

*Please note after passing Kingsley School you do not run to the bottom of Northdown Road, marshals will direct runners down Northdown Drive and along North View Avenu, marshals will then direct runners safely across the road by the shop on Northam Road. Please follow all marshals’ instructions.
This year the vets team for ladies and men will start at age 45
6.30pm registration, first runner 7pm
£2.50 for adult (or £10 for the whole series payable on or before the first race) | £1 for juniors per race (juniors must be at secondary school to enter the Junior course and at least 15 to run the adult course)
Strictly fully paid active club members only and please wear club colours
To complete the series you need to run four of the six races, for the really keen who run all six races the best four times count towards the final results so your final placing is likely to be higher.
You will be eligible for a commemorative prize if:
You pay £10 up front for the whole series by race 1 and run/marshal any number of races.
You run and/or marshal a total combination of four races, however your name must be on the official marshal rota before the race you help at.
Please note you will only place in the overall series results if you run four races. If you run four races we also encourage you to marshal one race.
We need marshals (and other helpers) for this event to go ahead. A marshal list will be put up in the clubhouse and ideally we would like this full by the Tuesday before the race. If we do not have enough marshals on any of the evenings the race may not be able to go ahead!
