Run possibly the 30th Bideford Half Marathon – the swift half! Runners of all abilities are welcome and will receive a 2025 bespoke medal and T-shirt. The race course starts and finishes very close to the Bideford Amateur Athletic Club Clubhouse and takes in magnificent countryside alongside the River Torridge between Bideford and Great Torrington. The course heads out on roads and returns on the Tarka Trail, you even get to run through a tunnel.

  • £200 cash and bottle of fizz for 1st man and woman • £150 cash for 2nd man and woman • £100 cash for 3rd man and woman • £80 cash for 4th man and woman • £60 cash for 5th man and woman • £40 cash for 6th man and woman
  • £50 cash bonus if the 1st man or woman sets a new course record male 01:05:35 (2023), female 01:17:15
  • £20 cash for the winner of each category up to V75
  • Category trophies U20 men and women: 1st only • Senior to V75 men and women: 1st, 2nd and 3rd
  • Trophies for best single fancy dress
  • All cash prizes, bottles of fizz and trophies are available at the prize presentation on the day of the race only.

Bideford Half Marathon 2024

Bideford AAC’s Ronnie Richmond took 1st place in 67:30, followed by club mate Josh Benford in 69:09, in 3rd place was Nathan Goddard from Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers in 70:51. The winning woman was Rebecca Ezra-Ham from Tamar Trotters in 78:15, followed by Carole Coulon from Blackheath and Bromley Harriers Athletic Club in 81:15 and Nikki Kelly from Tavistock AC in 3rd in 82:25

Bideford Half Marathon 2023

Bideford AAC’s Ronnie Richmond took 1st place in a new course record time of 65:35, closely followed by club mate Shaun Antell in 65:41, who also broke the previous course record of 66:09. In 3rd place was Simon Fox from Exeter Harriers in 67:26. The winning woman was Rebecca Ezra-Ham from Tamar Trotters in 77:45, followed by Bideford AAC’s Sammy Antell in 78:13 and Alison McEwing from Erm Valley Harriers in 3rd in 79:05

Bideford Half Marathon 2022

The race was won by Bideford AAC’s very own Ronnie Richmond in 1:06:49, followed by Simon Fox from Exeter Harriers in 1:08:45, and Ben Neale from Tavistock AC in 3rd in 1:09:24. 1st lady was unattached runner Karen Drew in 1:18:16, 2nd lady Susan Duncan from Weston Athletic Club in 1:21:51 and 3rd lady Bideford AAC’s Sammy Antell in 1:23:20
