A great fun (free) member event for seniors and juniors (Year 7 and above) with a touch of competitiveness where anyone could be the winner and win prizes! 4 races on the same 2.3 mile course with runners starting at staggered times, slowest first and fastest last, with everyone finishing at about the same time. Run as many races as you like but if you run 3 of the 4 races you will place in the overall series! Prizes (bar vouchers) are awarded for the first 3 male and female finishers in the bar after the race.
For volunteering at 4 or more races you will receive vouchers to use at the clubhouse bar.
Race 1: Sunday 20 October 2024 • Race 2: Sunday 10 November 2024 • Race 3: Sunday 26 January 2025 • Race 4: Sunday 23 February 2025
Registration 1.30pm to 1.45pm at the clubhouse, first runner 2pm starting from the Cattle Market Car Park, (please note: if you don’t register, your start time will not be called).
Winter series course (approx 2.4 miles)
Please follow all marshals’ instructions.
Prizes
Race prizes for the top 3 juniors, male and female in the clubhouse bar over a drink or 2 after each race and series prizes after the last race. Prizes are only available for collection in person at the presentation in the bar. Series category prizes will be presented after the last race. There is a raffle at each race and prize donation are gratefully received
Rules
- Strictly fully paid active club members only
- Juniors must be in Year 7 and above to run
- This is a club event and to show it is an organised event and help marshals identity runners please wear your club T-shirt or vest, not our race t-shirts (kit is available to purchase from the clubhouse).
- Run 4 races to complete the senior or junior series and place in the overall series results. Those who run 5 or 6 races, the best 4 times count towards your final results.
Marshals needed
Volunteers including marshals are needed for this event to go ahead. If there are not enough marshals races may not be able to go ahead! Entrants are encouraged to marshal 1 race.
